Job Opportunity: MRI Technician

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Facility: Massachusetts General Hospital (Mass General Brigham system)
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Every other weekend, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Rotating days during the week
• Schedule supports at least 2 consecutive days off within a 7-day work week (Sunday - Saturday)

Required Credentials & Compliance

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required before onboarding. Acceptable certifications include AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military. Preference for AHA at some affiliated hospitals.
• ARRT Certification: Required before onboarding.
• Professional License Verification: Primary source verification of professional license/certification required within 30 days of start date and updated upon expiration. MA Conditional Licenses are not accepted.

Health & Immunizations

• Fit Test (N95 Respirator): Required within 365 days prior to start and updated annually. Must be completed on the MGB N95 Respirator Fit Test Record Form. No religious exemptions.
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Documentation of vaccination or proof of immunity required before onboarding.
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if there is a break >6 months.
• Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30). No exemptions allowed.
• Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred but optional.
• Tdap Vaccine: Preferred, within 10 years and updated upon expiration.
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required for the skill.

Background & Professional Checks

• Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start and updated if >6 month break. Includes county and international searches if applicable.
• Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start and updated if >6 month break.
• National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
• Exclusion Checks: Within 30 days prior to start and annually. Includes OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid exclusion lists.
• Social Security Number Trace: Must be run with criminal check covering last 7 years.
• Education Verification: Verified through background check company for highest level of education achieved.
• References: Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in the skillset.

Additional Requirements

• Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form required for all initial assignments and extensions.

This position is ideal for MRI Technicians who meet the credentialing and health requirements and are comfortable with a rotating schedule including every other weekend shifts.
