Description

Job Opportunity: Nursing Administration (Contractor)

Location

Not specified

Facility

Surgical Room with 28 beds (including 2 hybrid rooms for CV/Vascular cases)
Handles 60-75 cases per day

Experience Required

Minimum 3 years of hybrid experience as an IR Hybrid Tech
Acute care experience required for first-time travelers

Patient Types

Outpatient, Inpatient, Trauma
Cases include GSW, stabbings, kidney and heart transplants, donor cases, general surgery, gynecology, urology, robotic surgery, vascular, orthopedic, and neurology
Hybrid room handles 5-10 adult cases per day including TAVR, AAA, endarterectomies, angiograms, fistula revisions
Approximately 20% pediatric cases (appendectomy, cholecystectomy)
No liver or lung transplants
Participation in Gifts of Hope cases

Patient Ratios

1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Skills Required

Experience with hybrid patient types listed above
Cath lab experience is mandatory

Support on Unit

Charge nurse available Monday-Friday (no patient assignment), assists on weekends and evenings
Bedside monitoring by anesthesiologist
Resource nurse support
Surgeons with preference cards
Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM)
Educators
Service line representatives
EPIC super-user available

Equipment and Systems

Experience with Siemens equipment required
Charting system: EPIC
