Description
Sonographer Position - Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
- Shift hours: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Job Description
- Perform general sonography cases including:
- Abdomen
- Small parts
- OBGYN
- Abdominal vascular
- DVT
- Follicular
- NICU and OR experience is a plus
- Equipment used: GE Logiq E10, E9, and GE Voluson
Required Credentials and Compliance for Onboarding
Professional Credentials
- MGB Badge Photo: Recent color photo (within 6 months), no selfies or filters, plain background, symmetrical headshot, no eyeglasses
- BLS Certification: AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted (AHA preferred)
- License/Certificate Verification: Primary source verification of professional license/certification required within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
- Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start, including county and international searches if applicable
- Massachusetts CORI Check: Completed within 30 days prior to start, includes criminal history from age 17 onward
- Resume: Past 7 years of work experience with city and state details (required for submission)
- References: Two recent references, at least one supervisor or above in skillset (required for submission)
- Skills Checklist: Required for submission
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for all initial assignments and extensions
- Education Verification: Verified through background check company (highest level of education)
- SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check, listing addresses/aliases for past 7 years
- National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days of start and updated annually
- Exclusion Checks: Within 30 days of start and annually; includes OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists
Personal Health History and Vaccinations
- Fit Test (N95): Within 365 days of start and updated annually; must be completed on MGB form; no religious exemptions
- MMR Vaccination: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine OR two MMR vaccines OR proof of immunity via blood test
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30); no exemptions allowed
- TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot blood test within 3 months of start; updated if >6 month break
- Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start; updated if >6 month break
- Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation: Required if fit test is required; completed prior to fit test and updated if medical status changes
Optional but Preferred
- Hepatitis B: Record of 3 vaccines OR proof of immunity OR declination
- Tdap Vaccine: Within 10 years and updated upon expiration
- Positive PPD - Negative Chest X-Ray: Required if positive TB test
Additional Notes
- No fit testing can be done onsite at any location; updates possible only at specific island locations if assignment is extended
- No religious or medical exemptions for flu vaccine or fit testing
- Background checks and credential verifications are strictly enforced and must be current
