Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician

Location: Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts

Job Details

• Must have procedural endoscopy experience
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (Monday to Friday)
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Required Credentials & Compliance for Onboarding

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (NBSTSA or NCCT only) required
• Primary source verification of professional license/certification required within 30 days of start date
• MA Conditional Licenses not accepted

Health & Immunization Requirements

• N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no religious exemptions)
• Documentation of MMR vaccination (2 measles, 2 mumps, 1 rubella) or proof of immunity via blood test
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30), no exemptions
• TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred (optional)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred (optional)
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is required

Background & Professional Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date, updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date, updated if >6 month break
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Social Security Number trace as part of background check
• Education verification of highest level achieved
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience (required for submission)
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above) in skillset (required for submission)
• Skills checklist (required for submission)
• Candidate submission coversheet (required for submission)

Additional Notes

• No fit testing or updates can be done onsite at any location; must be completed prior to start
• No religious or medical exemptions for vaccines or fit testing
• Positive TB test requires negative chest x-ray documentation (optional)
• Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for any extensions
