Certified Respiratory Therapist Position

Location: Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 36 hours per week
Requirements:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• Must have own transportation
• Candidate must have flu vaccine (required during flu season Sept 15 - April 30; no exemptions)
• Shared housing available (no guests or pets)

Required Credentials and Certifications (Must be current and valid)

• BLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military; AHA preferred)
• ACLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military; AHA preferred)
• NRP (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military; AHA preferred)
• Professional License Verification: Primary source verification required within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
• Fit Test: N95 fit test within 365 days of start, updated annually; no religious exemptions
• MMR: Documentation of vaccination or proof of immunity required
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season, no exemptions
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break
• Health Statement: Physician statement within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break
• Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start, including international searches if applicable
• Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required as part of fit test documentation
• Education Verification: Highest level of education verified through background check
• SSN Trace: Must cover last 7 years of addresses/employment/school
• National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Exclusion Checks: OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid exclusion lists checked within 30 days of start and annually

• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset)
• Skills checklist
• Candidate submission coversheet

Additional Information

• MGB MVH Housing Agreement required only if moving into shared housing
• Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years)
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred but optional
• Positive PPD requires negative chest x-ray documentation
• TB symptom survey required if positive PPD (optional)
