Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Description

  • Labor & Delivery (L&D) Night Shift

Requirements & Qualifications

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid State License (Primary source online verification required)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - as applicable
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - as applicable
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - as applicable
  • CHEMO (Chemotherapy) - as applicable
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - as applicable
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) - as applicable
  • NIH Stroke Certification - as applicable (expires annually)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - as applicable
  • NURSYS Verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP

Background & Verification

  • 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check upon hire
  • HHS/OIG check upon hire
  • Education verification (highest level of education must be verified)
  • Work history verification for the past 7 years
  • Employment application and resume required
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required annually

Health & Immunization

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually
  • Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year
  • TB questionnaire within 90 days of start (for positive TB results)
  • Measles (Rubeola) immunity: positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if negative/equivocal)
  • Mumps immunity: positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if negative/equivocal)
  • Rubella immunity: positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if negative/equivocal)
  • Hepatitis B: positive titer, series, or declination accepted
  • Varicella immunity: positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history of chickenpox
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required (including dose 1 and fully vaccinated status)

Competencies & Testing

  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
  • Color blind testing (online version acceptable)
  • Competency exams as applicable (minimum passing score 80% or Angoff score)
  • Core training/testing annually for subcontractors

Documentation

  • Clear headshot photo for badge
  • Required accounting documents: I9, Driver’s License/State ID, E-Verify
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)

Notes

  • Fingerprinting required for New Mexico placements only (not applicable here)
  • Religious or medical exemptions for vaccines require escalation and approval
  • Declinations for vaccines generally not accepted except where noted
  • All documentation must be current and verifiable
