Description
Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology
Location: Grand Forks, North Dakota
Employment Type: Long Term Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- No weekend work
Requirements
- North Dakota license required (ND Conditional/Temporary permit accepted prior to start)
- Certification from the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (prior to start)
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (within 6 months of start)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiation Oncology specialty
- Recent travel experience preferred with at least 3 completed assignments
- Epic electronic health record experience required
Job Description
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescription and standard operating procedures
- Precisely position patients relative to radiation beam and treatment area
- Observe and assess patients for clinical changes and report complications
- Apply principles of radiation physics, interactions, and protection (wear radiation film badge)
- Complete Quality Assurance tracking and maintain records
- Perform pain assessments and take appropriate actions
- Perform other duties as needed to support department and organizational needs

- No radius rule for local travelers; no rate difference between local and non-local travelers
