Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Summary

The Registered Nurse coordinates and implements patient care tailored to the age group served on assigned units. Ensures quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards. Demonstrates professionalism, respect, and effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

  • Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
  • BLS Certification required
  • AHA BLS & ACLS certifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Experience & Skills

  • Knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served
  • Sensitivity to patients’ rights in care delivery
  • Clear and age-appropriate communication skills

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
  • Clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment
  • Subject to stressful professional relationships and variable hours due to emergencies
  • Requires ability to handle emergency/crisis situations
  • Prolonged standing and walking, heavy physical effort for patient positioning and equipment handling
  • Physical abilities include reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, good visual and hearing acuity, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination

Additional Job Details

  • Weekend Requirement: 1-2 twenty-four hour weekend call shifts
  • On Call Requirement: 1-2 call nights per week with charge duties as needed
  • Floating: Yes, to other departments as needed
