Description
Cardiopulmonary Respiratory Therapist - Contract Position
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Job Description
- Provide continuous airway management including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator support.
- Perform physician consulting and CPR.
- Deliver all aspects of respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
- Utilize equipment such as computerized charting systems, Pyxis medication management, PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Ventilator.
Schedule
- Day Shift: 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM
- Three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours)
- No guarantee of hours
Requirements
- Must have or be in the process of obtaining a State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license before the start of the assignment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory care.
- No first assignments accepted.
- Must be able to care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.
- Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to contract start.
Certifications
- Required: RRT, BLS, ACLS
- Preferred: PALS with NRP
Note: Candidates not currently licensed in Hawaii must apply for the license upon acceptance of the offer.
