Job Opportunity: Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Requirements and Credentials

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS Certification: Required before onboarding (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• Professional License Verification: Must provide primary source verification of professional license/certification within 30 days of start date. MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
• Criminal Background Checks:

  • MGB Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start
  • National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually
• Education Verification: Highest level of education verified through background check company
• Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• References: Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in the relevant skillset
• Skills Checklist: Required for submission
• Assignment Confirmation Form: Required upon acceptance and for any extensions

Personal Health & Immunizations

• Fit Test (N95 Respirator): Required within 365 days of start date and updated annually; no religious exemptions
• MMR Vaccination or Immunity Proof: Two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine or two MMR vaccines, or blood test proof of immunity
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30); no exemptions allowed
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative blood test within 3 months of start date; updated if break >6 months
• Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date; updated if break >6 months
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required
• Optional but Preferred:

  • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof
  • Tdap vaccine within last 10 years
  • Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray if applicable
  • TB Symptom Survey if positive PPD

This is a 13-week cardiac sonographer position in Massachusetts with a full-time weekday schedule.
