CVOR Travel Opportunity
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel
Job Description
- Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly (does not include on-call time)
- Must scrub cardiac and/or vascular cases as a priority
- Cases include:
- Cardiac surgery and cardiac transplant surgery
- Valve replacement experience required
- Open vascular/endovascular surgery
- Thoracic surgery and thoracic robotics
- General surgery
Schedule
- Primary shift: 4-10 hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
- Wednesday shift: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, rotating to 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- One weekend per month required
- Call schedule:
- Friday 7 PM – Monday 7 AM (30-minute response time)
- One 2-hour CVI short call shift once a week (5:15 PM – 7:15 PM or 6 PM – 8 PM on Wednesday)
- One CVI call night per week (7 PM or 7:30 PM – 6:45 AM/7 AM)
- Eligible to work holidays during contract
Requirements
- National certification (NBSTSA) required
- Minimum 2+ years related CVOR experience
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Basic computer skills, including navigating web-based applications
- Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise preferred
- No local travelers accepted (must live more than 50 miles from facility)
- Must not have worked at this facility in any capacity within the last 6 months
Additional Information
- Orientation held weekly on Mondays (except holidays)
- All requests for time off must be submitted at time of application
- Parking may cost up to $43/day
