Special Procedures Tech - Travel Position

Location: Port St. Lucie, Florida

Unit Information

• Unit: Special Procedures & Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Beds: 3 rooms, 1 patient per room
• Staff: 12 total (RNs and Techs)

  • Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, Director, 3 staff members per room (12 total)
  • Night Shift: On-call team, 2 per call team (4 total)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Equipment: All GE rooms
• EMR Systems: Meditech and MacLab

Required Skills and Experience

• BLS, ACLS, ARRT certification for Techs
• Competency in Special Procedures & GE Innova
• Recent acute facility IR/Special Procedures experience

Preferred Skills

• RCIS certification for Techs

Typical Procedures

• Cardiac Catheterization
• Cerebellar Angiograms
• Stents and Balloons
• ENT Lab procedures
• Scrubbing

Work Schedule and Expectations

• On-call required: 1-2 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift per 4-week period
• Must be flexible and adaptable to unit needs
• Fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking and patient care focus
• Team-oriented, close-knit team environment

Dress Code

• Navy blue, white, or combination of both only
• No other colors or attire allowed
