Job Opportunity: MRI Technician

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)

Job Requirements

• Certifications:

  • ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Schedule:

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
  • Includes weekday and weekend hours
  • No on-call requirements
• Experience: Preferred but not mandatory

• Professional Credentials:

  • MGB Badge Photo (recent color photo, no filters, plain background)
  • License/Certificate Verification (Primary source verification within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
  • ARRT Certification
  • MGB Criminal Background Check (within 45 days prior to start)
  • MGB Massachusetts CORI (criminal history check within 30 days prior to start)
  • MGB Resume (past 7 years of work experience, including city & state)
  • MGB References (2 recent references, at least 1 supervisor or above)
  • MGB Skills Checklist
  • MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form (for initial assignments and extensions)
  • MGB Education Verification (highest level of education verified)
  • MGB SSN Trace (addresses/aliases for past 7 years)
  • MGB National Sex Offender Check (within 30 days of start, updated annually)
  • MGB Exclusion Checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid lists, within 30 days of start and annually)

• Health & Safety Requirements:

  • Fit Test for N95 respirator (within 365 days of start, updated annually; no religious exemptions)
  • MMR Vaccination or proof of immunity (measles, mumps, rubella)
  • Influenza Vaccine (required during flu season, Sept 15 – April 30; no exemptions)
  • TB Test (skin test or blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break)
  • Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA (within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break)
  • Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)

• Optional but Preferred:

  • Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Tdap vaccination within last 10 years
  • Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray documentation (if applicable)
  • TB Symptom Survey (if positive PPD)

Summary

This MRI Technician role is a long-term assignment in Boston requiring ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification and BLS. The position involves 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, including weekends, with no on-call duties. Candidates must complete extensive credentialing and health requirements prior to onboarding. Experience is preferred but not mandatory.
