Travel RN Opportunity – PreOP/Day Surgery
Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Adult Day Surgery
- Beds: 22
- Staff: 41 total
- Shifts:
- Day Shift:
- 1 Charge Nurse
- 2-3 Preop RNs
- 2-3 Post Op RNs
- 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT)
- Night Shift: Closed
- Patient Ratios:
- Preop, PreAdmit Testing (PAT), and OR Holding: 1:1
- Post Op: 3:1
- Equipment: Meditech EMR, IV Pumps
Typical Procedures
- General Surgery
- Gynecology
- Orthopedic Scopes
Required Skills & Experience
- Must Have:
- IV Starts
- Meditech experience preferred
- Preferred:
- PreAdmit Testing experience
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Work Schedule & Guidelines
- Shift Hours: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM, 4 days a week (4x10 hour shifts)
- Must work 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per schedule period
- Self-scheduling with unit flexibility to move staff as needed
- Must work during inclement weather
- No weekends or on-call required
