Job Opportunity: MRI Technician

Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an MRI Technician
• Experience with Siemens equipment preferred
• ARRT certification required

Required Credentials & Compliance for Onboarding

Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT certification
• BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)
• Professional license verification (Primary Source Verification required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)

Health & Immunizations

• Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no religious exemptions)
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if >6 month break
• Health statement signed by a licensed provider within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof strongly preferred (optional)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred (optional)
• Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray documentation (optional)

Professional & Background Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually
• Social Security Number trace as part of criminal background check
• Education verification of highest degree or certification required for the position

Documentation Required for Submission

• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset)
• Skills checklist
• Candidate submission coversheet

Additional Onboarding Requirements

• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (part of Fit Test Record)
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI form upon acceptance and for any extensions

This MRI Technician role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience, ARRT certification, and compliance with extensive health, immunization, and professional background requirements. The assignment is approximately 13 weeks in length in Newton, MA, with preference for Siemens equipment experience. Candidates must complete all required documentation and background checks prior to onboarding.
