Description
Job Opportunity: High Risk Labor & Delivery Nurse (Travel Assignment)
Location:
- University of Vermont Medical Center area (exact city/state not specified)
- Note: Public transportation is not accessible; reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended. Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November to April.
Contract Length:
- 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Start Date:
- December 15
Schedule:
- Nights with occasional day shifts for schedule/vacation coverage
- Every weekend required
- 36 hours per week
- No block schedules allowed
- Monday to Sunday coverage
- Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays (next orientation: 12/15)
Experience Requirements:
- High Risk Labor & Delivery experience required
- Minimum 2 years of solid experience in high risk L&D
- Candidates from similar large academic settings preferred
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years is mandatory and non-negotiable
- First-time travelers will be considered if experience criteria are met
Additional Requirements:
- Complete work history required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Flexibility with schedule is essential
This position is ideal for experienced high risk L&D nurses comfortable with night shifts and weekend work, who have recent EPIC experience and are adaptable to a large academic medical center environment.
