Occupational Therapist (OT) - Home Health
Location: Spokane Valley, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Home Health Therapy/Rehabilitation
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year recent experience
- EMR System: HCHB experience required
- OASIS Experience: Required
- Patient Load: 5-7 patients per day (please confirm during interview)
- Visits: 6 visits daily, minimum 30 points weekly for productivity
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Types of Cases: Geriatric
- First Timers Accepted: Yes
- On-call: Yes, every 3rd to 4th weekend
- Territory: Up to 60-mile radius from the office/hub
- Locals Accepted: Yes, at travel rate
- License: Must have license in hand
- Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
- Technology Provided: iPad provided (no personal cell phones allowed)
- Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate
- Flexibility: Travelers expected to be flexible with territory
- Documentation: Timely documentation and communication required
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA, ARC, or Military accepted
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background checks within 90 days of start, updated annually, including:
- SSN Trace
- County searches (last 7 years)
- FACIS Level 1M
- Nationwide Sex Offender
- Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
- Education Verification
- Work History Verification (7 years)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 90 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 90 days of start
- Fingerprinting (WA candidates who have not lived in WA for past 3 years must complete on-site fingerprinting)
- State-specific criminal history and abuse registry checks as applicable
- Employment application with full 7 years of work history, no gaps
- Professional references (2 for travel/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care) within 2 years of start
- Skills checklist required annually
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within last 12 months (not required annually)
- Fit test for N95 mask (no specific model required)
- Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 1 year or chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD
- Annual TB questionnaire required for all candidates
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination form required
- COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination form required
Facility Specific Requirements
- Proof of current auto insurance required for candidates with driving responsibilities
- Completion of Acceptable Use Policy prior to start
- Agency background attestation required
Additional Notes
- Travelers must be flexible with territory and maintain timely documentation and communication.
- Dress code strictly scrubs; no jeans allowed.
- iPad provided for work use; personal cell phones are not permitted on the job.
- Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate.
