MRI Technologist - Contract Position

Job Description

• Basic MRI skill set with oversight of Radiologist
• Work with 3T & 1.5T Siemens magnets
• BLS and ARRT certification required

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by ARRT AND
• MRI certification from one of the following:

  • ARRT (MRI)
  • CAMRT (MRI)
  • ARMRIT (MRI)
• BLS certification

Education

• Advanced training beyond high school, completion of an accredited or approved Radiologic Technology program

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and magnetic safety
• Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Intermediate computer skills

Experience

• Minimum 3 years MRI experience

Patient Types

• MRI patients including general MRI, high-end tests, breast, prostate, and cardiac imaging

Equipment and Systems

• Siemens 3T and 1.5T MRI machines
• Epic charting system

Work Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Orientation: One shift on unit to learn workflow
• Scheduling: Weekend rotation varies
• Time off approval: 7 days
• Call and holiday expectations vary
• Scrub color: Any except camo, denim, or logos
• Parking: Free lot parking available
