Travel RN Opportunity – Cardiac Stepdown/PCU Unit

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit Overview

  • Unit: Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (HVIU/D200)
  • Number of Beds: 24
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4 (days and nights)
  • Staffing: Charge nurse, Patient Care Technician (PCT), monitor tech, unit secretaries available
  • Equipment: Telemetry monitoring
  • Documentation System: Allscripts
  • Scheduling: Every other weekend required
  • Floating Policy: Floating to like units

Required Skills and Experience

  • Telemetry experience
  • Cardiac Post-Interventional Recovery (PIR) experience
  • Care of patients post TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), cardiac catheterizations, ablations, Watchman device, cardiac drips
  • Advanced skills related to procedures such as TAVR, ablations, Watchman, STEMI, pacemakers, CardioMEMS

Certifications and Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIH Certification
  • Current Registered Nurse License

  • Floating to similar units may be required
  • Unit follows a specific dress code/uniform policy
  • Opportunity to work with advanced cardiac technology and procedures
  • Supportive team environment with experienced staff
  • Scheduling offers every other weekend off
