Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Job - San Angelo, Texas

Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
  • Start Date: December preferred; early January considered
  • Experience: 3 years strongly preferred
  • Education: Must have graduated from an accredited radiology program
  • Certification: ARRT (T) required

Required Credentials & Certifications

  • Licenses & Certifications:
    • ARRT (T) certification
    • ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
    • BLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
    • PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; ICU RNs have 1 year to obtain for longer assignments)
    • NRP (as applicable)
    • CHEMO (as applicable)
    • TNCC (required for ER; ICU RNs have 1 year to obtain for longer assignments)
    • EFM (as applicable)
    • NIH Stroke Certification (required for ICU and PCU)
    • State License verification within 30 days of start
    • NURSYS Verification within 30 days of start
    • Tech Cert Verification - National within 30 days of start
    • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update)
    • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) during orientation

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year background check required within 30 days of start (including statewide, counties, federal, national, education verification, and international search if applicable)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
  • Education verification required; diploma may be accepted temporarily if verification is pending
  • Legal name must match across all documents (license, social security card, certifications); proof of name change alone is insufficient

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start; must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
  • Fit mask test within 6 months prior to start; annual updates required (accepted masks: 3M 1860 and 3M 1860S)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; TB questionnaire required annually or in lieu of annual test for positive responders
  • Immunizations required (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing):
    • Rubeola (Measles) - positive titer or 2 vaccines
    • Mumps - positive titer or 2 vaccines
    • Rubella - positive titer or 2 vaccines
    • Hepatitis B - positive titer or series with declination if applicable
    • Varicella - positive titer, 2 vaccines, or proof of disease
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
    • Flu seasonal vaccination or facility-specific declination during flu season (10/31-3/31)
    • COVID-19 initial vaccine series required (boosters not required)
  • Drug testing required within 30 days; must include multiple substances; instant acceptable

Documentation & Facility Requirements

  • Clear, passport-style photo for badge
  • Completion of facility-specific forms prior to start, including:
    • Non-Employee Information Form
    • Vaccine Exemption Form (if applicable)
    • Applicant Health Record Form
    • Code of Conduct and Compliance Form
    • Compact-Temporary License Declaration of Residency Form
    • Confidentiality Statement Form
    • Information System Security Agreement Form
    • Non-Employee Orientation Update Form

Additional Requirements

  • Two professional references within 3 years of start
  • Resume or employment application copy required
  • Annual skills checklist update required
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable by profession
