Job Opportunity: Cardiopulmonary Respiratory Therapist
Location: Aberdeen, Washington
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- 13-week assignment
- 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Shift time: 05:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Must have strong OB experience
- Team player required
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be pre-approved and added to the end of the contract
Responsibilities
- Provide, coordinate, and direct individualized comprehensive respiratory care based on patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Function with minimal supervision after orientation
- Accountable to Cardiopulmonary Director or Lead RRT in their absence
Position Requirements
- Current Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- Maintain certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Practice within the scope of a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Preferably one year of current acute care experience; new graduates considered
- Physical requirements:
- Lift 50 lbs from floor to waist and wheelchair to bed level
- Lift 5 lbs overhead
- Pull 50 lbs from stretcher to bed
- Push 150 lbs loaded stretcher for 300 feet
- Auditory ability to perform procedures and take accurate blood pressures
- Vision adequate for patient observation and charting
- Ability to meet specific criteria for the Cardiopulmonary department
