Description

Job Opportunity: Acute Dialysis RN (Travel Assignment)

Location

  • University of Vermont Medical Center (part of a large, 500+ bed teaching facility)

Contract Length

  • 16 weeks

Schedule & Shift Details

  • 10-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Every other weekend commitment
  • On-call hours with call and floating expected
  • Monday through Sunday coverage, no block schedules
  • Travelers must work 2 out of 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day

Experience & Requirements

  • Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
  • Apheresis experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Experience working in an acute unit with very sick patients
  • EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the past 2 years is mandatory
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Additional Information

  • IV start skills required
  • Bi-weekly orientations (next available on 12/29)
  • Complete and detailed work history required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
  • Reliable transportation is essential; public transportation is not available
  • Personal or rental vehicle recommended, with all-season or snow tires required November through April

This position is ideal for experienced acute dialysis RNs with pediatric skills looking for a travel assignment in a large teaching hospital setting.
