Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Inpatient
Location
- Adult ICU, Adult & Pediatric general units
Contract Length
- 32 weeks (approximately 8 months)
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- Every other weekend
- No on-call duties
- Schedule flexibility required
- Must work 2 out of 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Day
- Monday to Sunday coverage
- No block schedules allowed
Requirements
- Must hold RRT credential (CRT not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (NRP required upon submission)
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is mandatory
- Detailed documentation of all specialties worked and NICU levels in work history
- Complete work history required including bed count, EMR, facility type, and explanation of any employment gaps over 90 days
Additional Information
- Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
- Reliable transportation is essential; public transportation is not available in the area
- Personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended
- Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November through April
This position is ideal for experienced RRTs comfortable with night shifts, flexible scheduling, and working in a teaching hospital environment with Epic EMR.
