Travel RN Opportunity – ICU Unit, Dickson, Tennessee

Facility Overview

• Location: Dickson, TN
• Unit: ICU (6 beds)
• Hospital is recognized as one of the highest-ranking facilities in its healthcare system for quality and staff engagement.
• Newly approved ICU expansion underway to double ICU capacity.
• Equipped with newest GE ICU monitors and expanding service lines and acuity.

Unit Specifics

• Patient Ratios: Mainly 2:1, some 1:1 and 3:1
• Staffing: 1 Nurse Tech available on unit
• Equipment: Arctic Sun, Continuous EEG
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling: 36 hours per week, every other weekend required
• Floating Policy: Floats to ICU overflow unit

Required Skills and Certifications

• Must have ICU experience
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills required
• Procedures performed on unit include:

  • Central line placements
  • Arterial line placements
  • Paracentesis
  • Thoracentesis
  • Intubation
• Certifications required: ACLS, PALS, BLS

Dress Code

• Galaxy Blue or Pewter scrubs

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
