Travel RN Opportunity - Smyrna, Tennessee

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Unit Size: 12 beds
Patient Ratio: 4:1
Scheduling: Every other weekend
Floating Policy: Rotation with full-time staff and other travelers

Unit Environment

Staffing: 1 tech available for the unit, plus unit secretaries
Equipment: GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispenser
Documentation System: Meditech
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
Dress Code: Charcoal gray scrubs

Required Skills and Experience

Post-cath care including TR band management
Advanced pulmonary treatments
Medication titration
Positive attitude, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Procedures

No specific procedures performed on the unit

Patient Experience Expectations

Use of AIDET communication framework
Completion of communication board
Medication teaching

Hospital Information

Trauma Level III certification

Contract Length

13 weeks
