Description

Travel RN Opportunity - Smyrna, Tennessee

Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Location: Smyrna, TN
  • Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Unit Size: 12 beds
  • Patient Ratio: 4:1
  • Scheduling: Every other weekend
  • Floating Policy: Rotation with full-time staff and other travelers

Unit Environment

  • Staffing: 1 tech available for the unit, plus unit secretaries
  • Equipment: GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispenser
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
  • Dress Code: Charcoal gray scrubs

Required Skills and Experience

  • Post-cath care including TR band management
  • Advanced pulmonary treatments
  • Medication titration
  • Positive attitude, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Procedures

  • No specific procedures performed on the unit

Patient Experience Expectations

  • Use of AIDET communication framework
  • Completion of communication board
  • Medication teaching

Hospital Information

  • Trauma Level III certification

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks
