Radiology Technician - Emergency Department Overnight Shifts
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work Friday and Saturday overnight shifts in the Emergency Department
- Shift hours: 11:00 PM to 11:30 AM
Required Credentials and Compliance for Onboarding
Professional Credentials
- MGB Badge Photo: Recent color photo (within 6 months), plain background, no glasses
- BLS Certification: AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted (AHA preferred)
- License/Certificate Verification: Primary source verification of professional license/certification within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
- ARRT Certification
- Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start, including county and international searches if applicable
- Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- Resume: Past 7 years of work experience with city & state included (required for submission)
- References: Two recent references, at least one supervisor or above in skillset (required for submission)
- Skills Checklist: Required for submission
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for initial assignments and extensions
- Education Verification: Verified through background check company (highest level achieved)
- SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check, covering last 7 years
- National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Exclusion Checks: OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid exclusion lists within 30 days of start and annually
Personal Health History and Vaccinations
- N95 Fit Test: Within 365 days of start, updated annually; must be completed prior to start (no onsite testing)
- MMR Vaccination or Immunity Proof: Two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine or two MMR vaccines, or blood test proof of immunity
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30); no exemptions allowed
- TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break
- Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break
- Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation: Required if fit test is required
- Optional but Preferred:
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray documentation if applicable
- TB Symptom Survey if positive PPD
Summary
This position requires overnight weekend shifts in a busy Emergency Department setting. Candidates must meet extensive credentialing and health compliance requirements prior to onboarding, including professional licenses, certifications, background checks, and immunizations. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
