Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology RN

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Specialty: Interventional Radiology (IR)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Department Details

• 6 labs/suites including pre-op and phase 2 recovery
• Average cases per day: 20-30
• Patient types: GI bleed, strokes, biopsy, central lines, drains, vascular cases

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Experience & Skills

• EKG interpretation required
• Drip titration experience required

Equipment & EMR

• EPIC electronic medical record system
• Phillips monitors

Staffing & Supervision

• Charge RN on shift from 07:30 to 17:00 (does not take patients, assists with cases and lunch coverage)
• 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) IR Tech

Shifts & Scheduling

• 4 days per week
• 9-hour shifts between 06:30 and 18:00
• Not self-scheduling

Call Requirements

• Primary and secondary call: 6-8 shifts every 6 weeks, including weekends
• Holiday call required; department closed on holidays
• Call response time: 30 minutes

Orientation & Training

• 5 days unit/department-specific orientation
• 12 non-billable orientation hours (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation)

Additional Information

• Ratios: 1:1 intraprocedural, max 1:4 in phase 2 recovery
• No floating required
• Surgical scrubs provided
• Drug-free campus with mandatory negative drug screen for all panels

Notes

• Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
• OSF call off policy: Equivalent of 12 hours off every 13 weeks with no penalty or pay required for the shift missed

Work Schedule Example: 4 shifts per week, 9 hours each
