Travel RN Opportunity - Nashville, Tennessee
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Nashville, Tennessee
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: 5T PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
- Number of Beds: 33
- Patient Ratios: 3:1 or 4:1
- Scheduling: Work every other weekend, 36 hours per week, with flexibility to fill in scheduling needs
- Floating Policy: First to float
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Unit Staffing: Unit Secretaries Monday-Friday 7am-7pm; Nurse Extern available at times
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (RN)
- Experience with post-operative CABGs, vascular, and general cardiac patient populations
- Knowledge of cardiac drips/titrations and electrolyte replacement
- Experience managing chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR bands
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ALS (Advanced Life Support)
- EKG Interpretation
Work Environment & Additional Information
- Dress Code: Scrubs in Galaxy Blue, Red, or Black
- Patient experience focus on pain management, communication, and responsiveness
- Mixture of experienced and new nurses with strong teamwork
- Unit-specific policies, guidelines, and awards provided during orientation
- Opportunity to work with new equipment and technology
