Position Details

- Facility Size: 28 beds
Unit Information
- Patient Ratios:
- Days: 5-6 patients per nurse
- Nights: 6 patients per nurse
- Staffing:
- Days: Unit Secretary and 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCT) available
- Equipment:
- Sara Steady lift
- Wound Vac
- Tele Health
- Virtual Sitter equipment
- Remote telemetry
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling:
- Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required
- Weekdays are flexible
- Floating Policy: PRN, typically floats between Medical-Surgical units
- Patient Experience Requirements:
- BSSR (Bedside Shift Report)
- Hourly rounding
Required Skills and Certifications
- Must Have:
- Strong assessment skills
- Experience with IV pumps
- Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
- Advanced Skills:
- IV and Foley catheter placement
- Certifications:
- BLS required
- NIH and CPI preferred
Dress Code
- Black or royal blue scrubs
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
