Travel RN Opportunity - Nashville, Tennessee
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Nashville, TN
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
- Number of Beds: 32
- Patient Ratios: 2:1
- Scheduling: 4-week schedules with 3-4 weekend shifts required per scheduling period
- Floating Policy: Float as needed based on unit census
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Equipment: Hill-Rom beds, Phillips telemetry monitors
- Support Staff: Student nurse externs as techs, unit secretary available Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Required Experience & Skills
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Cardiac nursing)
- Must Have: Cardiac experience and strong critical care experience
- Advanced Skills:
- PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Impella device
- Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) preferred
- Procedures Performed:
- Central line insertion
- Swan-Ganz catheter insertion
- Intubations
Certifications & Licenses
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Certification
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Additional Information
- Dress code includes scrubs in galaxy blue, red, or black; scrub jackets or vests only
- The unit has a growing cardiogenic shock program with 12 beds dedicated to these patients
- Recognized for excellent teamwork and engaged staff
- Awards include Nurse Practice Council and Daisy Award Recipient
