Travel RN Opportunity - Nashville, Tennessee
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Unit
- Location: Nashville, TN
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: 6th Floor, Post-Op Med/Surg
- Number of Beds: 34
- Patient Ratios: 6:1
- Staffing: Tech support available day and night shifts; unit secretary on site 7am-7pm
- Equipment Used: IV Pumps, Telemetry, Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs), Continuous Pulse Oximetry, Feeding Pumps, PCA pumps, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
- Floating Policy: Contract staff float first; rotation used when multiple contract staff are scheduled
- Patient Experience: Emphasis on attentive, compassionate care; bedside shift reports; strong patient and family engagement in care planning
Hospital Certifications
- Comprehensive Stroke Center
- ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center
- Certified Chest Pain Center
Required Qualifications
- Licenses: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience (highest required)
- Skills: Ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, perform basic wound care, maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes

- Dress Code: Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)
