Physical Therapist Outpatient - Nantucket, Massachusetts

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Location: Nantucket, MA
Work Schedule:

• 4 shifts per week
• 10-hour shifts
• Weekdays only
• Shift start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM

Job Description

• Outpatient physical therapy position
• Preference for therapists willing to take occasional hospital shifts
• Shared housing provided at no cost

Required Credentials & Certifications

• Valid Massachusetts Physical Therapist license (no conditional licenses accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred, Red Cross accepted)
• Completion of FEMA ICS 100 Training (mandatory, no exceptions)
• Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, national sex offender check, and exclusion checks
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above)
• Skills checklist
• Candidate submission coversheet

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine OR two MMR vaccines, or proof of immunity via blood test
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
• TB test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) with updates if break >6 months
• Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date
• Fit test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no religious exemptions)
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required
• Optional but strongly preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity
• Optional: Tdap vaccine within 10 years

Additional Requirements

• MGB Nantucket Housing Agreement (required if staying in provided housing)
• Education verification of highest degree achieved
• Social Security Number trace for past 7 years addresses/aliases
• Confirmation of assignment/POI form upon acceptance and for extensions

This position is ideal for physical therapists licensed in Massachusetts who are comfortable working outpatient with occasional hospital shifts and who meet comprehensive credentialing and health requirements. Shared housing is provided, supporting those relocating to Nantucket for this assignment.
