Description

Job Opportunity: Pediatric Physical Therapist (Travel/Contract)

Location: Saint Cloud, Minnesota
Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • 4 shifts per week, 9 hours each (4x9) with every 4th weekend off (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Alternative schedules considered: 5x8 or 4x10 shifts
  • Shift start no earlier than 7:30 AM and end no later than 6:00 PM
  • No on-call required

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist
  • Minnesota license required (can submit application without having it in hand; temporary license issued quickly once documents are received)
  • Must commit to applying for MN license once offered the position
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Accepts first-time travelers
  • Must live at least 25 miles away from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
  • Experience with EPIC charting preferred
  • Scrub color: Royal Blue

Background Checks & Compliance

  • Criminal background check required within 1 year of start, including:
    • 7-year search
    • Social Security trace
    • County checks
    • Sex offender registry
    • Nationwide check
    • Education verification (not required for CNAs)
    • International searches if candidate has lived/worked outside the US
  • GSA/SAM and OIG excluded provider checks required
  • Fingerprinting via Minnesota DHS Net Study required (no starts with fingerprints pending)
  • Third-party education verification required (except CNAs)
  • Primary source verification of state license required

Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM certifications as applicable (not required for this role specifically)
  • CEUs as per state requirements

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask (N95) required
  • Tdap vaccination required (no religious declinations accepted)
  • TB testing per Minnesota state guidelines (2-step PPD or equivalent)
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination accepted
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required annually (mask required if declined)
  • COVID-19 vaccine preferred; medical/religious exemptions accepted

Additional Facility Requirements

  • Candidate must complete Minnesota DHS Net Study Fingerprint Questionnaire immediately after signing contract
  • Education modules (~16 hours) completed during orientation (except some locations)
  • Dress code must be reviewed prior to start (Royal Blue scrubs for this role)
  • Photo for badge required (grey background, no selfies, JPG format)
  • Confidentiality agreement must be signed prior to start
  • Candidates must return badges on last day of assignment

References & Verification

  • Two references from recent employers within 2 years required
  • Skills checklist required for all clinical candidates
  • Work history verification required for non-clinical candidates

This position offers a structured schedule with no call responsibilities and supports first-time travel therapists. Compliance with Minnesota-specific licensing, fingerprinting, and health requirements is mandatory.
