Job Opportunity: Technologist (MRI)

Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary

Job Summary

Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) on patients using advanced technical equipment and administer contrast materials as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare scan room and patient for examination.
• Draw up and administer IV or oral contrast as needed.
• Perform equipment warm-up and enter patient data and scan parameters.
• Review patient data and previous exams; screen patients for contraindications.
• Transport and position patients appropriately for the exam.
• Monitor for allergies and inject IV contrast as necessary.
• Conduct scans with attention to positioning and image quality.
• Use correct protocols, coils, restraints, and materials during scanning.
• Ensure proper marking and orientation of images.
• Prepare records for radiologist, ensuring completeness and correct image order.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of MRI technologist experience.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA required.
• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required.
• Candidates must submit all scheduling requests at time of application; no scheduling changes allowed after offer.
• Must provide:

  • Work history.
  • Skills checklist current within 1 year relevant to MRI specialty.
  • Two supervisory reference forms from within the last two years.
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not considered).
