Description
Rehabilitation Therapy Contract Position - Hilo, Hawaii
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Job Description
- Provide rehabilitation therapy services in both outpatient and acute rehab settings.
- Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients as either outpatient or inpatient.
- Plan and implement ongoing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by the ordering physician.
- Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Independently manage a full caseload.
- Determine when to perform re-evaluations based on insurance authorization.
- Must be able to work on Hawaii State and Federal holidays as needed.
- Use department equipment and electronic medical records systems including Net Health Therapy and Meditech.
Requirements
- Must have an active Hawaii State physical therapy license before the start of the assignment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with adults in outpatient and acute rehab settings.
- BLS certification from the American Red Cross is required.
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Additional Information
- Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
- Do not accept the start date if unable to arrive on time for this appointment.
