Radiology Technician (X-Ray Tech) - Massachusetts, Salem

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology Technician
• Location: Salem, Massachusetts
• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including every other weekend (EOW)
• Unit: MRI – X-Ray Tech
• Work Setting: Rotating coverage between two sites (1 outpatient, 1 hospital)
• Bed Count: 395 beds at the hospital
• EMR System: EPIC
• Floating: Required
• Rotating Shifts: Required
• Holiday Coverage: Rotating holiday coverage required

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Experience with Siemens Scanner
• Phlebotomy skills
• Proficiency with Outlook
• Strong interpersonal skills

Certifications Required

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• CPR certification

Required Credentials & Health Compliance

• Licenses/Certifications: Professional license verification required within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
• Fit Test: N95 respirator fit test within 365 days of start, updated annually.
• Vaccinations:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions
  • TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break
  • Hepatitis B vaccine or immunity strongly preferred (optional)
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred (optional)
• Health Statement: Physician statement within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break
• Respirator Medical Clearance: Required if fit test is required for the role
• Positive PPD: If positive TB test, chest x-ray documentation required (optional)
• TB Symptom Survey: Recommended if positive PPD (optional)

Background & Professional Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually
• Social Security Number trace as part of background check
• Education verification of highest degree or certification required
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience (with city & state)
• Two recent references required (minimum one supervisor or above)
• Skills checklist required for submission
• Candidate submission coversheet required for submission
• Confirmation of assignment/POI form required upon acceptance and for extensions
