Job Opportunity: Certified Scrub Technician (Surgical Tech)

Location: Machias, Maine
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Description

• Responsible for safe, sterile setup and handling of all surgical instrumentation during scheduled and emergency surgical cases.
• Gather all necessary instrumentation and supplies as noted on surgeon's pick sheets.
• Perform duties conscientiously, including pressure assignments, clerical tasks, and other department-related responsibilities.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• Current ORT (Operating Room Technician) certification.
• Essential: Current Operating Room experience.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• Effective communication skills with department personnel, hospital staff, medical staff, and equipment representatives.

Certifications

• BLS/BCLS required
