Number of Beds: 18-40
Patient Ratios: 6:1
Typical Staff:
- Day Shift: Charge Nurse, Bedside Nurse, Patient Care Technician (PCT), Unit Coordinator (UC)
- Night Shift: Charge Nurse, Bedside Nurse, PCT
Equipment: Baxter IV pump, GE telemetry
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech 5.6

Required Certifications and Licenses

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Registered Nurse License (Texas)

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in the RN specialty

Preferred Qualifications

NIH Certification (not mandatory but preferred)

Job Responsibilities / Procedures

Care involving non-titrating cardiac drips
Floating between med-surg and telemetry units as needed

Work Environment

Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Weekend rotation required
Personality fit: Easy going, friendly, flexible
