Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Overview
Seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The role involves performing interventional radiology procedures using Siemens imaging equipment. Normal business hours with rotating days off and call requirements.
Schedule
- Hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Rotating day off
- Call Requirements:
- One primary weekday and one backup weekday per month
- One weekend every 6 weeks (alternating primary or backup)
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in interventional radiology
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Skills: Proficient in Siemens imaging equipment
- Preferred: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures
- Operate Siemens imaging equipment effectively
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC (preferred)
Compliance & Credentialing Requirements
Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including SS trace, counties lived/worked, nationwide check, sex offender registry, and MVR if driving is required
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required prior to start, with specific Ohio codes and timelines
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
- Education accreditation verification required immediately after contract signing
- Transcript or diploma verification required (including for foreign education)
- Pending background check attestation allowed if fingerprint results are pending
Certifications
- ACLS and BLS must be current and AHA-approved (Instructor/Provider and RQI acceptable)
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, EFM)
- State license verification within 30 days of start
- Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- National tech certification verification within 30 days of start (if applicable)
Competencies
- Unit-specific competency exams required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually for RNs (not applicable for this technologist role but noted for RN candidates)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year; TB questionnaire required
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if low titer
- Hepatitis B: Titer or 3-vaccine series or signed declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer or documented medical exemption
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31) with mask requirement if declined
- COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership)
- Employment application and skills checklist required
- Facility-specific policies including dress code, hand hygiene, fraud/waste/abuse training, and ethics compliance must be reviewed and acknowledged
