Travel RN Opportunity - Arlington, Texas
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Arlington, TX
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule:
- 5 days per week
- 8-10 hour shifts (36-40 hours per week)
- Shift hours: 0615 – 1445
- No call, weekends, or holidays
Unit Information
- Facility Type: Free-standing surgery center
- Unit Size: 28 beds total
- 14 Preop beds
- 14 PACU beds
- 6 Operating Rooms (ORs)
- 5 Procedure/GI rooms
- Staffing: 55+ staff members
- Shift Types: Day and night shifts
- Patient Ratios:
- PACU: 2:1
- Preop: 1:1
- Service Lines:
- Gastrointestinal (EGD/Colons)
- Orthopedics (including total joints)
- General Surgery
- Podiatry
- Gynecology (GYN)
- Urology
- Pain management cases
- Typical Procedures: GI endoscopies, orthopedic surgeries, general surgery, podiatry, GYN, urology, pain procedures
Required Skills & Certifications
- Certifications:
- BLS for techs
- BLS & ACLS for RNs (required)
- Licensure: Registered Nurse License
- Clinical Skills:
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation/identification (Preop/PACU)
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Team player mentality
- Professional demeanor
Preferred Skills
- Experience as a GI RN, including provation experience
Work Environment & Dress Code
- EMR: None (paper charting or other system)
- Dress Code:
- PreOp/PACU staff wear black scrubs
- GI and OR staff wear center-provided blue scrubs
- Personality Fit: Helpful, professional, service-oriented

- No floating required
- No weekends or on-call responsibilities
