Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Interventional Radiology)

Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (Interventional Radiology)
  • Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts (10-hour days)
  • Average Daily Caseload: 18 patients
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes
  • On-Call Requirement: Yes (30-minute arrival time when on call)
  • Floating: Required to float between like units
  • Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in Interventional Radiology
  • Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
  • Locals Accepted: No

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
  • Additional certifications may be required based on unit or specialty (verify with clinical leadership)

Experience & Competency Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
  • Competency exams required by specialty/unit
  • Color Blind Testing may be required on a unit basis (80% passing score)

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Education verification required for all candidates
  • State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable (Washington state requirements)
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
  • Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps/overlaps

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) required for travel candidates, updated annually
  • Immunizations/vaccinations required:
    • TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
    • COVID-19 vaccine or declination
  • Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates

Training & Onboarding

  • Completion of Providence WorkRamp modules required prior to start, including:
    • Core regulatory modules (annual)
    • Specialty-specific modules for Interventional Radiology and related units
    • Epic training modules (completion required prior to moving to Paid Day Work status)
  • Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background)
  • Floating policy acknowledgment required

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must be willing and able to float between similar units within the facility or system
  • Locals are not accepted for this travel assignment
  • Guaranteed hours with possibility of being called off one shift per two-week period
  • Facility uses EPIC for charting and documentation
