Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Overview
Seeking a skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join the team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience (screening for 1 year) and holds essential certifications. The position follows normal business hours with rotating days off and includes call requirements.
Schedule
- Hours: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday with a rotating day off
- Call Requirements:
- One primary weekday and one backup weekday per month
- One weekend every 6 weeks (alternating primary or backup)
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in interventional radiology
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Skills: Proficient in using Siemens imaging equipment
- Preferred: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures
- Operate Siemens imaging equipment effectively
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC (preferred)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting results
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
- Education accreditation verification for nursing candidates (if applicable)
- High school transcript or diploma required for RRTs
- Fingerprinting (Ohio BCI & FBI) required within 1 year of start; must be completed under specific codes
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending
Certifications and Competencies
- ACLS and BLS certifications must be current and AHA-approved
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, EFM)
- State license verification within 30 days of start
- Competency exams including medication test/pharmacology and unit-specific exams
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually for RNs (not applicable to this role unless RN)
Facility-Specific Policies and Documents
- Dress code and hand hygiene policy acknowledgment required
- Confidential Fraud, Waste, Abuse, and Compliance Reporting training and acknowledgment required
- Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually
- Proof of fingerprint completion required for all candidates
- Background acknowledgment form required for subcontractors
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start; TB questionnaire required
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer required
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer required unless medically exempt
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended
History and Documentation
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leader)
