Description
Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Facility: Hospital in Greensboro, NC (Travel/Contract)
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Schedule
- 3x12 hour shifts, nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Weekend rotation
- Holiday rotation
- No call required
- Floating between all campuses as needed
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience required
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Experience with Cardiac Telemetry required
- Must have experience managing and interpreting dysrhythmias
- Experience with peripheral line care/management and PICC line management
- Ability to titrate drips
- Must have experience with PCU ratios (1:5)
- Floating required as needed
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC
- NIH Stroke Certification (required for Cardiac Progressive Care and MS/Tele units)
- Pass/Fail EKG/Dysrhythmia Exam (all RNs except Behavioral Health and Case Managers)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
- State RN License verification (Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start)
- NURSYS verification within 60 days of start
Mandatory Compliance & Testing
- Pass/Fail EKG exam required for all RNs regardless of specialty
- EPIC test required for RNs starting 9/19/23 (2 attempts allowed, 3rd attempt may be approved by manager)
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam (score 80% or higher)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (pass/fail, 2 attempts max, remediation required after first failure)
- Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
- Physical exam (if applicable)
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (Qgold/TSPOT within 6 months)
- MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer or declination
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination
Documentation & Verification
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Social Security card required for badge issuance
- Education verification (Associate's degree in nursing or higher required)
- Transcript/Diploma as applicable
- Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
- Verification of all employment within last 5 years through third party
- Two supervisory references required (one within 12 months, one within 24 months)
- Annual skills checklist with one-week grace period for renewal
- Facility-specific documents including floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgement must be reviewed and signed
- Badge photo meeting strict facility requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire)
Additional Notes
- Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Compliance deadline is 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date
- Floating between campuses is mandatory as needed
- Fingerprinting required for Home Health and Long-Term Care positions only (must be completed in North Carolina)
