Description

Job Opportunity: Pathologists’ Assistant (Travel Contract)

Specialty: Pathology
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule:

Shift goal: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Flexible start time between 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM
Once set, hours remain consistent
Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly (excluding on-call time)

Certifications Required:

NAACLS certified
ASCP certified

Job Description:

Examine, describe, and dissect all gross surgical specimens
Triage tissue for special studies appropriately
Coordinate Quality Assurance & Control activities within the department
Prepare statistical reports and maintain logs, forms, and procedure manuals
Work under clinical supervision of pathologists and management of Anatomic Pathology Manager and Laboratory Director

Additional Requirements:

No local candidates accepted
Must have been separated from the hospital system for 6+ months (including permanent, per diem, or contract roles)
