Travel RN - Charge Nurse MedSurg 3N
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Call Requirements: No call
Unit: 3 North, 3rd Floor
Number of Beds: 32
Patient Ratios:
- Day Shift: 5:1
- Night Shift: 6:1
Job Description
- Charge Nurse role on a Medical-Surgical unit (3N)
- New unit opening with no current staff
- Equipment used: Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, Telemetry, Lifts
- EMR system: Meditech
- Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs with St. David’s Logo
Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Required Years of Experience: 3 years or more nursing experience (preferred)
- Certifications: BLS (required), ACLS, Telemetry, Charge Nurse experience
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
- Hospital experience preferred
- Personality fit: Open to feedback, owner mentality
Additional Information
- Typical procedures: No routine procedures performed on unit
- Staff type: RNs, LVNs, PCTs
- Schedule: 4 weekend shifts per month
- This is a travel contract position
- Competitive market; new equipment and technology available on unit
