Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Winfield, Illinois
Facility: Large hospital system in Illinois

Job Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Cardiac and Electrophysiology (EP) experience needed
• Preferred: 2+ years experience, including at least 1 year in interventional cardiac cath, NeuroIR, IR, or EP labs

Education & Certification

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Associate Degree in Applied Sciences
• ARRT Certification required
• IEMA Licensure required
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS (American Heart Association) required

Skills & Knowledge

• Experience with Omnicell and Epic systems
• Call rotation with current staff (7-9 days in a 6-week schedule, including every third weekend)
• Self-scheduling

Preferred Education

• Bachelor of Science Degree

Clinical Skills & Procedures

• Special Procedures: Biopsies, CVC, PICC, tunneled HD catheters, post placements, fistulograms, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, drain placements, ureteral stents, nephrostomy tubes, thrombectomies, thrombolysis, Y-90 treatments, embolizations
• Cath Lab: Diagnostic and Interventions, IABP, IVUS, IMPELLA
• Equipment: Siemens C-Arm (single and bi-plane), GE ultrasound

Contract Length

• 12 weeks

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Education verification of highest degree
• Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry eligibility and fingerprinting required (must be done in Illinois)

Certifications

• ACLS and BLS (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Radiology Tech certifications verified within 30 days of start (ARRT and IEMA)
• State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification for RNs within 30 days of start

Health & Safety

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health and no physical limitations
• Fit mask test (3M Aura 1870+) within 12 months, updated annually
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (TD not accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray per facility policy
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (declinations accepted)
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID vaccination series or declination required

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of facility welcome packet, privacy policy, confidentiality agreement, cannabis acknowledgement, sexual harassment training, information security agreement, scanning technology consent, and policy acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of required training modules as provided by the facility
• Accommodation request forms for vaccine exemptions or failed fit tests must be submitted promptly

Work Schedule

• Call rotation approximately 7-9 days per 6-week period
• Weekend call every third weekend
