Job Opportunity: General Rehabilitation Therapist (Contract)

Location

• Acute Care Rehabilitation setting
• 55-bed community hospital with outpatient rehab facility nearby

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Employment Type

• Contractor

Patient Population

• Adolescents (approx. 5% of cases, no experience needed)
• Adults to Geriatrics
• Conditions: general orthopedics, low back pain, hip and knee pain, post-surgical, general neurological cases

Patient Ratios

• 1:1 therapist to patient ratio

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Skills Required

• Manual therapy
• Exercise therapy
• Mechanical traction
• Lite gait training
• Blood flow restriction therapy (experience not required, training provided)
• Vestibular training preferred but not required

Support on Unit

• Other therapists available
• Physical Therapy assistants available

Charting System

• EPIC (required)

Orientation

• 1 to 3 days, based on comfort level

Scheduling

• Weekend rotation: once every 8 weeks
• No on-call duties
• Holiday expectations: 1 summer holiday, 1 winter holiday
• Time off approval: up to 7 days
