Hospice Nurse (RN) - Contract
Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Specialty: Nursing

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Full-time, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am)
- Rotating days of the week
- On-call requirement: 2 shifts per month
- Provide compassionate hospice nursing care focused on symptom management and end-of-life support
- Work in a home-like short-term care setting providing intensive medical end-of-life care for patients who cannot be at home but prefer not to be hospitalized
- Support patients and families emotionally, socially, and spiritually
- Act as a teacher to patients and caregivers, helping identify personal goals of care and building caregiver confidence
- Thrive in a team environment with strong communication and critical thinking skills
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years acute care experience (medical/surgical, ICU, ER, or other acute care settings)
- Hospice experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Willingness to participate in on-call, holiday, and weekend rotations
