Physical Therapist (PT) Job Opportunity

Job Description

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care.
• Develop and implement appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting all clinical and regulatory information accurately.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services as needed; make referrals based on outcomes.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings.
• Attend facility and company-required trainings, in-services, and conferences.
• Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies as required.
• Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
• Adhere to APTA and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.

Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience (highest requirement found).
• Specialty Experience: Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings is required.
• Licensure: Missouri State License required (Compact license allowed).
• New Graduates: Accepted only if candidate has completed Level II clinical experience (not just Level I observation).
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified or required.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (interpreted from contract_length value).

Additional Information

• Position follows a clinical interview process with quick outreach and decision timelines for eligible candidates.
• Candidates seeking more than 7 days off or more than 50% of holidays off, or with negative background/employment history, may not be eligible for expedited processing.
• 8-hour shifts with NBOBR (Night Bonus) at 1.25x pay rate.

This opportunity is suitable for PTs with at least 1 year of experience, especially those with LTC or rehab backgrounds, holding a Missouri license, and who meet the clinical experience requirements.
