Job Opportunity: Rehabilitation Therapy (Occupational Therapy Assistant)

Location: Frederick, Maryland
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Overview

Join a large multidisciplinary team of approximately 40 clinicians in a fast-paced hospital environment. Treat a variety of diagnoses including orthopedics, neurological, behavioral health, and critical care caseloads. The focus will be on treatment including morning ADLs, 1:1 treatment, and facilitating group treatment.

Requirements

• Degree from an ACOTE accredited school
• Current state licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy in Maryland
• Minimum 1 year hospital acute care experience (higher experience requirement confirmed)
• Experience running Occupational Therapy groups is a plus
• Strong documentation skills in an EMR system (preferably hospital-based)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Strong skills in flexibility, time management, and communication

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality occupational therapy services according to treatment plans
• Document patient care accurately and timely using web-based EMR software
• Meet clinical, departmental, and regulatory expectations (productivity standards 65%-75% daily)
• Conduct patient and family education
• Participate in a positive work environment promoting teamwork and communication
